The Art of Extraction: Crafting the Purest Vanilla Absolute Oil
At the heart of every exceptional botanical extract lies a carefully refined process—and our vanilla absolute is no exception. Our method begins with a unique approach to solvent extraction, designed to preserve the delicate aromatic compounds of vanilla while eliminating all unwanted materials.
Precision in Every Step
The first phase of extraction involves creating direct and thorough contact between the biomass and the solvent. This interaction allows the essential oil within the biomass to dissolve, forming a homogenous solution. In traditional solvent extraction, the biomass is typically submerged in the solvent. However, our approach stands apart.
Rather than immersing the material, we load the biomass into stationary extraction chambers. The solvent is introduced from the top, gently percolating through the plant matter. This gravity-assisted flow ensures maximum surface contact and efficient extraction while avoiding the mechanical stress associated with agitation or immersion.
As the solvent moves through the biomass, it dissolves the fragrant oils and collects at the bottom as a solution. This solution is then passed through a filtration system and directed into an evaporator. There, it is gently heated via a warm water jacket, which provides latent heat to evaporate the solvent without applying direct, harsh heat.
Simultaneously, the evaporated solvent is condensed back into liquid form by passing over a chilled surface within our condensers—either located atop the extractor units or solvent storage tanks. These cold surfaces, cooled by circulating chilled water, efficiently remove the latent heat, allowing the solvent to be collected and reused.
Innovation in Solvent Technology
One of the defining features of our process is our proprietary solvent—a revolutionary departure from conventional methods. Unlike traditional solvents that indiscriminately extract everything from waxes and resins to mineral oils and triglycerides, ours is intentionally selective.
Our IP-protected solvent is considered “not good solvent” by conventional standards because it refuses to dissolve heavy, unwanted components like high molecular weight fatty acids, waxes, resins, or minerals. But for us, that inefficiency is its greatest strength.
This selectivity enables us to extract only the most volatile, low molecular weight aromatic and flavor compounds from the vanilla pods—precisely the compounds responsible for their intoxicating fragrance and exquisite flavor. Its low boiling point also means that thermo-sensitive molecules remain intact, ensuring a raw, uncooked profile that stays true to nature.
The Result: Vanilla Absolute Oil Like No Other
Our process culminates in the creation of what we proudly call “the best on the planet”.

OUDH FACTS
When used in a perfume composition, Oud is most often a base note, which tends to remain on the skin long after the others dissipate. Since they form the perfume’s foundation, base notes are very rich, heavy and long-lasting (up to six hours and more). They serve to enhance the scent of other ingredients; and, in some cases, they impart a fragrance all their own. While most wood notes are known for their earthy qualities, Oud provides a pleasant sweet scent and is often featured in a synthetic version because it is so costly to harvest.
